中國：公安DNA數據庫危及隱私
人權觀察表示，中國公安機關正在收集個人DNA，建立一個全國性可查詢數據庫，但卻缺乏監督、透明和隱私保障。證據顯示，素來行鐵腕統治的新疆自治區政府有意加速DNA的收集和建檔。
中國許多地區的公安人員，正在強迫一般人──既非罪犯也非嫌疑人──抽血提取DNA。其他樣本則來自早已受到政府鎖定監控的各種弱勢人群，包括移民工、異見人士和維吾爾族穆斯林。由於公安部門大權在握，且隱私權在中國尚無可訴性，人們幾乎沒有能力抵制這種個人信息的收集。
